Memorial Trail Trees
Take a deep breath . then thank a tree. Trees are the natural filters of the air we breathe and the water we drink. They are home to countless animals, and they help to combat greenhouse effects. Trees we plant today will be enjoyed for generations to come. Did you know that one healthy mature tree releases enough oxygen back into the atmosphere to support two human beings for one year? Trees create shade to offset summer heat, provide food and habitat for wildlife, boost the health of watersheds and reduce soil erosion.
Planting trees is a simple way to improve our environment. Donating memorial Trail trees is a simple way to remember our loved ones for years to come. We thank those who have donated Trail Trees to be planted along the 5.5 km meandering Lakefield Trail in the Village of Lakefield. They will be enjoyed by all who use the Trail for years to come. For a cost of $300, we will plant a nursery quality tree complete with a plaque displaying the name of the donor and their inscription, in your choice of location along the Trail.
As a Christmas or birthday gift to a loved one or a special friend, why not consider donating a beautiful maple tree to the Lakefield Trail in their name? It is a unique way to give the gift of remembrance that can be enjoyed by all. Please Contact Us us for more information.
