Meet at the Shade Shelter. Anyone interested in preparing the Lakefield Millennium Trail for the summer is invited to help - bring a shovel, rake or push broom - or just yourself. Call Bruce Bellchambers at 705-652-5115 for further details. This is part of the Rotary Club Super Spring Clean-up Program too.
- Spring Nature Hike

Meet at the Marshland Centre. Join avid naturalist, Tracy Logan, as she takes a hike around Hague Point. Hear about the awakening of spring - birds, trees budding, wildflowers.
- International Trail Day Celebration

The Lakefield Trail Committee is taking part in the celebration of trails on International Trail Day on June 1. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a display at the corner of Block Road and Water Street where we will welcome cyclists and trail walkers to the Lakefield Trail. Maps of the trail will be available as well as water and information about the village of Lakefield.
Visitors to the booth can also participate in a scavenger hunt along the trail and possibly win a prize if their completed scavenger hunt form is drawn at 2 p.m. Local residents as well as visitors to the village are encouraged to drop by our booth and to enjoy a day on the beautiful Lakefield Trail
- Family Paddle Event
Thursday June 20. 2013 - 5:30 pm.
Meet at the Lakefield Beach
Join the Lakefield Stewardship Committee & the staff at Adventure Fitness for an evening paddle on Katchewanooka Lake, in celebration of National Canoe Day. Meet at the Lakefield Beach at 5:30 pm. Bring your canoe or kayak. Adventure Fitness will have extra canoes on hand for those who don’t have one. There will be a beach barbeque after the paddle.
